Note:

1.Undergraduate applications are submitted online; no hardcopy materials need to be sent by post.

2.The program duration is 4 years. Upon completing the required credits and undergraduate thesis as specified, students will be awarded a graduation certificate and a bachelor’s degree. The study mode is full-time.

I. Program Introduction

1.A certain level of Chinese proficiency is required, but submission of HSK Level 4 certificate is not mandatory. In the first year, students will study Chinese language and basic courses. From the second to the fourth year, they will focus on professional courses. After meeting all graduation requirements, students will be awarded a bachelor’s degree in International Economy and Trade, with a requirement of reaching HSK Level 5 by graduation.

2.This program aims to cultivate high-level professionals with innovative and entrepreneurial awareness, an international perspective, mastery of economics and international trade theories and methods, and competencies in international trade practice, international marketing, and international business communication. Graduates can pursue further studies in related academic fields or engage in work related to economy and trade.

3.Outstanding graduates of this major can apply for master’s programs and will be given priority for scholarship support.

II. Application Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a foreign passport, in good physical and mental health, with good moral character, appropriate educational background and Chinese proficiency.

Undergraduate applicants should generally be 35 years old or younger, hold a high school diploma, and pass the academic proficiency test for international undergraduate admissions to China.

Note:

1.Due to the limited number of rooms in the on-campus international student dormitories, students who fail to secure on-campus accommodation must arrange off-campus housing on their own.

2.According to the regulations of China’s Ministry of Education, international students in China must purchase medical insurance within China. Students can buy it online on the day of registration; otherwise, the university will not complete the registration process.

VI. Application Materials

2.High school graduation certificate (original or notarized copy, in Chinese or English).

3.Official high school academic transcript (original or notarized copy, in Chinese or English).

4.Copy of a valid ordinary passport.

5.Language proficiency certificate: relevant proof of Chinese language ability.

6.Health certificate: "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners".

7.Financial guarantee: "Letter of Financial Guarantee (USTB)".

8.Certificate of no criminal record.

VII. Admission Results

The International Student Center will announce the admission list at the end of June. Electronic versions of the admission notice, JW202 form and other materials will be sent via the official email (admission@ustb.edu.cn) in July.

Note:

All admission materials are electronic scanned copies, which can be used to apply for a visa at Chinese embassies or consulates abroad. Original hardcopies can be collected after registration at the university.

VIII. Enrollment Time

1.Generally, early September each year. The specific time is subject to the notification in the "Admission Notice" and official email (admission@ustb.edu.cn). Admitted students must complete enrollment and registration procedures at University of Science and Technology Beijing strictly in accordance with the time specified in the admission notice.

2.Newly admitted students must bring the original high school graduation certificate for re-verification of admission eligibility during registration.

IX. Accommodation Registration

International students living in on-campus dormitories will have their registration procedures with public security authorities handled by the dormitory service desk.

International students renting off-campus housing must complete registration procedures with the local public security authority within 24 hours on their own.

X. Visa

Admitted students must apply for a student visa (X1 visa) at the Chinese embassy or consulate with the admission notice and the "Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW201/JW202)". They must convert the X1 visa to a residence permit for study at the International Student Center within 30 days of arriving in China.
